What are some of your responsibilities?
I am the director of information technology at East West Partners-Tahoe, Inc. I am responsible for the resources and infrastructure that support three nationally recognized golf courses (Old Greenwood - a Jack Nicklaus course, Gray’s Crossing - a Peter Jacobson course, and Coyote Moon, rated No. 14 in California, not far behind Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay); Northstar, a year-round destination resort with 230+ condos in the Village; a Ritz-Carlton Hotel (172 rooms, 23 whole ownership condos in the hotel, 77 club ownership condos); a three-building Hyatt Residence Club; two five-star restaurants - Schaffer’s Camp at the 8,000-foot level of Northstar and the Wild Goose on the North shore of Lake Tahoe; three separate companies - EWP, TMC and TMRL and over 100 users; over 500 VoIP phones/router/switches; 200+ computers and three of the best technicians I have had the privilege to manage.

What do you like most about your job?
Going to a resort to work each day.

What do you like least about your job?
Nothing … I like my place in the company and the support I receive from staff and management.

Brookdale College, Lincroft, N.J.

What is your favorite movie?
The Bourne Series

"City of Lights" by Peter White.

What is your favorite line from a movie or song?
“It’s not your fault!” from “Good Will Hunting.”

What was your first job?
Clerk at a Western Auto Hardware Store.

What was your most interesting day at work?
Installing new hardware and software at a Bank of America facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
Nothing. Live off of the interest!

When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Chores with my wife of 42 years.

What is the next technology to impact the hospitality industry?
There may be several: i.e., RFID, the next generation of PMS (let’s get rid of the DOS stuff!), or Wi-Fi/WIMAX technologies.
