MPI Foundation Secures Key Investments, Partners with PSAV and Omni Hotels to Support Future of Meetings

July 26, 2010 - Meeting Professionals International Foundation (MPIF) announced agreements with PSAV Presentation Services and Omni Hotels & Resorts at the World Education Congress (WEC).

Both organizations are investing in MPIF to advance research in the Future of Meetings.

“These industry leaders and their investment to the MPI Foundation is a sign of their trust in our ability to advance the meeting and event industry,” said Didier Scaillet, chief development officer at MPI.

PSAV, dedicated to a three-year MPIF partnership, will benefit as the exclusive technology partner for the Future of Meetings initiative, and will financially support digital advancements at future World Education Congress events.

“PSAV services more than 1,000 events a day, and many of our customers are members of MPI,” said Greg Van Dyke, PSAV senior vice president of marketing. “When looking to support an organization representing the global community of meeting professionals, MPI is the perfect fit.”

Omni will partner with MPI Foundation until 2012 to fund the development of strategic meeting design content and delivery of quality education on current and future trends in this area.

“Omni Hotels & Resorts is proud to partner with the MPI Foundation around the Future of Meetings and the Strategic Meetings Design component,” said Tom Santora, chief marketing officer and senior vice president, sales with Omni. “This important investment by the Foundation will provide valuable learning as the industry continues to evolve by providing strategic insight, and ultimately, helping organizations maximize the effectiveness of their meetings and events.”
