MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, announced that Loews Hotels, with 18 properties in the United States and Canada, has selected the OPERA Reservation System (ORS) and OPERA Web Suite (OWS) as the central reservation application for its hotels and resorts.

Deployment is scheduled for the fall of 2007.

MICROS ORS will enable Loews Hotels to consolidate all premium guest information, further promoting its renowned guest centric activities for all its hotels. ORS provides all hotel and corporate staff easy access to guest data for optimum guest satisfaction and effective hotel operations.

"MICROS has proven to be a trusted and solid technology partner for several years," said Tony Del Mastro, chief technology officer, Loews Hotels.  "We value that OPERA's technology provides the scalability we require to support our growth objectives.  And with the addition of the OPERA Web Suite we have a central solution, completely customized to support our special workflow processes and channel management."

"As a current MICROS 9700 customer, the introduction of the OPERA Reservation System to Loews has further solidified and expanded our partnership," said Laura Kirby-Meck, vice president, independent hotels, MICROS Systems Inc.  "ORS has the ability to grow with companies like Loews Hotels while promoting corporate standards which maintain the unique flair of the individual properties."
