QSR Automations®, a leading technology provider helping businesses worldwide maximize guest delight through comprehensive hospitality automation, announced that Buffalo Wild Wings® Grill & Bar has selected its ePic® Kitchen Management Solution, including the ePic Kitchen Display Software (KDS), ePic video controller and KP-3000™ keypad, as its corporate solution for complete kitchen management, and will also make the system available to its franchisees.

The QSR kitchen solution is being provided to Buffalo Wild Wings through QSR’s technology alliance and reseller partner, Hospitality Solutions International (HSI).

Supporting its growth, Buffalo Wild Wings selected QSR’s robust and reliable kitchen solution to help ensure consistency, food quality and optimum ticket times.  When adding the QSR kitchen solution, Buffalo Wild Wings gains access to critical production data in real-time and historical formats, empowering its restaurant and corporate team members with information needed to further enhance the guest experience.
“With our unique service style and high quality menu items, Buffalo Wild Wings has cultivated a passion from our guests that is only matched by the energy we put forth in serving them, and we rely on leading technologies to help us propel our growth,” said Craig Donohue, senior vice president for Buffalo Wild Wings.  “Since implementing the QSR kitchen solution, we have reduced confusion in our kitchens and seen a noticeable improvement in our ticket times.”
With the feature rich and fully configurable ePic KDS, Buffalo Wild Wings was able to customize every station, including an expeditor station dedicated for to-go orders, using specific color coding, routing rules and timing thresholds for items and orders.  Using the delay routing functionality of the ePic KDS, individual items are routed to one of four specific preparation stations in the kitchen at the appropriate time, based on cook times which are communicated from the HSI point-of-sale system, so that all items within the order complete simultaneously.  Reflecting all changes that are made at each of the preparation stations, the expeditor stations ensure prepared orders are served immediately to waiting guests.  In addition to timers that are displayed at each kitchen station, speed of service data is captured for every action that occurs at each station, giving the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant managers and corporate team members the critical information needed to maximize the guest experience.
“With 25 different timing categories to manage, ranging from two-minute cook times to 15-minute cook times, our restaurant team members are happy with the coordination provided by the QSR kitchen software – almost as much as our guests love dining at Buffalo Wild Wings,” said Judy Shoulak, senior vice president for Buffalo Wild Wings.
