MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc., and a leading provider of information technology solutions to the hospitality and retail industries, has partnered with Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, the new north London home to the Arsenal Football Club, the current FA Cup Winners, and will implement MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) throughout the stadium's entire hospitality venue including its exclusive club level, corporate hospitality boxes, concession outlets, bars, restaurants and kitchens.

Now live, the fully integrated MICROS 9700 HMS solution will aid Arsenal in managing the projected rise in hospitality sales.  With over 590 MICROS electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) terminals, including 104 handheld terminals, the MICROS solution is set to improve the levels of customer service and the overall visitor experience.

To accommodate advance table reservations in the dining outlets throughout the prestigious club level area of the stadium, Arsenal will implement MICROS Guest Connection.  MICROS OPERA Sales & Catering will manage the conference and banqueting requirements and 9700 Suites Management will service food and beverage requirements in the boxes, including online ordering. MICROS Materials Control will track and manage inventory levels throughout all food and beverage outlets. In addition, will provide near real-time reporting, with Web-based enterprise wide business intelligence reporting tools to manage the overall food and beverage operations at the stadium.

"We require an EPOS solution that provides us with the flexibility and reliability to assure our hospitality business can deliver the best service and yet is fully integrated into our CRM system to assist us in profiling our fan base," said Arsenal's head of hospitality, Steven Brice.  "From a partner perspective, we were looking to appoint a technology company with proven success in the stadium and arena marketplace and one who could support our requirements well into the future.  MICROS offered the best solutions to each one of our needs."

The MICROS 9700 HMS system has been designed with a Microsoft backbone, providing high database performance by running on the Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition.  The solution is built upon Microsoft Visual Studio .Net, Windows CE .Net, and embedded Visual C++ with Microsoft Server 2003 Enterprise to provide fault tolerance and redundancy via clustering.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Arsenal at the new Emirates Stadium," said managing director of MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, Frank Ward.  "By implementing a totally integrated enterprise solution at this world class stadium, we will allow Arsenal to improve levels of customer service and aid them in maximizing efficiency of its hospitality sales.  We are very proud to be working with Arsenal on such an esteemed project."
