Squirrel Systems, a leading provider of hospitality point-of-sale solutions, has installed SquirrelOne Release 5 at one of Vancouver’s premier hotel properties, the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.

When Peter Yip, director of food and beverage at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, first reviewed the new additions included in SquirrelOne, Release 5 he was thrilled to see several key features that will really help streamline the Hilton’s operation and enhance their guests’ dining experiences.

“We were very excited when we saw the new SquirrelOne table management interface.  Through the color coding, it is easy to see when table states change thus allowing us to better service our guests,” said Yip.  “We are also making use of the SquirrelOne Loyalty module.  The integration between loyalty, reservations and table management makes it easy to see when we have a repeat guest and to view their history in real time so that we can better respond to their individual preferences.”

Also included in this new version are the abilities to initiate the review of a restaurant guest check from the property management system and to make a guest’s restaurant reservation from the front desk.  Yip said, “Recalling a disputed guest check has always been a manual process for us.  This new feature will make it easy for us to review a guest’s restaurant check at the front desk.  Providing this service for our guests will significantly speed up the process of resolving these issues.”
