Hotel Concepts, a leading global provider of property management/CRS technology and software solutions for the hospitality industry, announced that it has released a two-way interface to the SynXis® RedX® Distribution Management system.

This interface, based on Open Travel Alliance standards, connects users of both Hotel Concepts’ IDPMS and IDCRS software to SynXis’ premier distribution service.

“Part of our mission statement is to shorten the distance between supply and demand in the hospitality industry. The RedX two-way interface fits perfectly into that strategy,” said Erik Weller, COO of Hotel Concepts.

The new interface allows for the delivery of reservations and guest profile information electronically from SynXis RedX booking channels directly to Hotel Concepts’ PMS and CRS users. In addition, it allows these users to manage rates, availability and restrictions directly from the Hotel Concepts software they are already familiar with. Each property can configure the system controls to automatically open and close predetermined rates, based on occupancy levels. This provides built-in rate optimization and drives higher profit margins for the hotel.

“By providing advanced two-way integration between SynXis’ RedX and the property management system, Hotel Concepts is providing a valuable tool to their hotel clients,” said Scott Alvis, president and general manager of SynXis. “Not only can they take advantage of the world’s premier distribution channels through the RedX Property Connect, they can streamline the management of rates, inventory, reservations and guest profile information, creating a much more efficient hotel operation.”

Since SynXis provides reservation delivery from all four GDSs (Sabre, Galilleo, Amadeus and Worldspan), online travel sites (such as Travelocity, Priceline.com and Orbitz) and hotel Web sites powered by the RedX booking engine, even smaller properties can benefit from these buy-side channels through one vehicle.

“By establishing this connectivity to SynXis’ RedX platform, our mutual clients can not only better manage daily operations and increase yield, they also save time, allowing them to spend more time being hosts to their guests…and isn’t that why we are in the hospitality business in the first place?” said Jason Cape, sales manager at Hotel Concepts' U.S. office in Atlanta.
