Harms Software, a leader in spa software, blew out 21 candles (one for good luck) on their birthday cake Monday morning.

John Harms started programming his first management software, Salon Solutions, when he was just 18 years old.  The software took off in 1991 when it was then perfected and rebranded as Millennium.  Today, Harms Software’s flagship product Millennium is installed in over 12 countries and handles more than $1 billion in revenues annually.

Now operating in the United States, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom, the Harms network of clients has grown 10,000 percent in the last 10 years alone.

“Our network's substantial growth throughout the years reflect the enormous amount of human capital and resources we have invested in developing a system of tools that aid in the growth and success of our clients,” said John Harms, president and CEO of Harms Software.  “Not only do we provide an award-winning software but we also pride ourselves on supporting our clients with a level of high quality service that is unmatched by any other in the industry.”

In 2003 Harms Software was recognized as a Microsoft Certified Partner for the third year in a row.  Just one year later John Harms was recognized by NJBIZ Magazine as one of the Top 40 under 40, and invited to attend the Leadership Speaks forum amongst Rudy Giuliani and other influential leaders. New Line Media Solutions chose to feature Millennium on its educational television series, Pulse on America which aired on CNBC, NBC, and Fox.  More recently, American Spa’s readers voted Millennium the No. 1 Spa Software; IBM selected Millennium Software to manage one of the largest spa franchises in the world; and Harms Software proudly became the first and only Microsoft Gold certified business in the beauty industry.

Initiatives throughout the past 20 years include implementing the Harms 1-Year Guarantee branded Guarantee 365™ to raise the bar of quality in the industry, integrated solutions including one of the first online booking systems (Millennium.NET),  integrated credit card processing, automated gift card processing, palm pilot data access, Millennium mini Pocket PC access, class booking and membership modules, development and release of Millennium Essentials DVD training series and many other products that keep Harms Software ahead of the curve.  Harms is currently preparing for the launch of Millennium Resort Spa that will cater to the resort spa segment and Millennium Med Spa which will enhance the abilities of Medical Spas to track patient information with reduction in printed paper forms.

Harms Software Inc. is celebrating its 20–year anniversary by awarding Millennium 2008 to all current Millennium users at no charge.  The announcement was made by John Harms at the Harms User Group conference in late July 2007 in Miami, Fla.  The 2008 version of Millennium was a two-year development project that was estimated to bring in $1 million dollars in revenue this year.

John Harms, president and CEO of Harms Software said, “Millennium users have become part of the Harms family.  They are extremely dedicated, loyal and essentially the core of Harms Software’s continued growth and success.  The new 2008 version is a gift of thanks to all current users.”

Millennium 2008 will be released on September 30, 2007.
