NxTV, Inc., one of the first and largest providers of Internet protocol video on demand (IP VOD), IPTV and interactive digital IP-based in-room entertainment and technology solutions in the hospitality industry, announced that the company ranked number 389 on the 2007 Inc. 500 list of the country’s fastest growing private companies.

NxTV achieved its ranking on the list by posting a three-year sales growth of 736 percent from 2003 to 2006.  The Inc. 500 list appeared on newsstands August 24, and is available online.

"Our recognition by Inc. magazine shows that the hospitality industry is healthy and thriving, and the IP VOD platform that NxTV pioneered almost a decade ago is now proven and endorsed industry wide,” said Russell P. Reeder, president and COO of NxTV, Inc.   “We are honored to be on the prestigious Inc. 500 list, and attribute our growth to our focus on delivering a superior guest experience with crystal-clear HD picture quality plus the largest library of IP VOD movies, and a faster time to market via our highly scalable fourth-generation IP distribution platform.   This focus enables our upscale segment hotel customers to boost revenue and guest loyalty, and sets us apart from the competition.”

NxTV’s system runs over the hotel’s existing converged IP network, which enables the property to communicate with a wide variety of in-room technologies, including VoIP, minibars, climate control and POS systems, without the cost and effort of installing and maintaining separate networks for each hotel application.  NxTV is also the first and only VOD vendor to earn Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) certification for its single guest itinerary display functionality.  This means it complies with HTNG industry standards that enable NxTV to interface with other certified third-party systems to display guest reservation information including hotel checkin and checkout, spa appointments, golf tee times and restaurant reservations on hotel room televisions.  (HTNG is a leading, self-funded, non-profit technology solutions association in the hospitality industry.)

“If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson.  “These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones coming up with solutions to some of our most intractable ills, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”
