Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals’ (HFTP®) Second Annual Caribbean Hospitality Finance and Technology Conference, which focuses on regional topics of interest in the hospitality finance and technology fields, is quickly approaching.
Hospitality professionals are encouraged to register online now. The conference, produced by HFTP and sponsored by Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), will take place December 10-11, 2007 at the luxurious Rose Hall Resort & Country Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
“Traveling to meet with regional colleagues is harder in the Caribbean than in other areas around the world,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. “The Caribbean Hospitality Finance and Technology Conference provides a rare opportunity for regional hospitality professionals to gather and discuss important industry issues.”
HFTP is busy designing an agenda that aligns with the interests of Caribbean hospitality industry professionals and provides an opportunity for open discussion among peers. Tourism officials from different Caribbean islands have been invited to speak at the opening session, held December 10 at 8:30 a.m., about the importance of the hospitality industry to the Caribbean. The education program will also include regional topics such as currency conversion, disaster recovery and planning, local fraud detection resources and more. Along with the education sessions, tabletop displays and excellent networking opportunities will be offered. The conference also provides one of the last opportunities to earn CPE credits for the year.

Besides the Caribbean Hospitality Finance and Technology Conference, HFTP annually produces HITEC, EHTEC, the Club and Hotel Controllers Conferences, the Assistant Controller Conference and the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow. HFTP has added yet another new conference for 2008, the Asian Hospitality Finance and Technology Conference in Singapore, which will be held in conjunction with Food & Hotel Asia in April at the Singapore Expo Center.
