TIG Global’s Work Leads to 2007 eMarketer of the Year Recognition and Nine Other Adrian Awards

TIG Global recently received nine Adrian Awards for excellence in Web marketing from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) including the coveted Platinum Award for its design of the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin website (http://www.EsplanadeBerlin.com).

TIG Global and LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels were also honored for their interactive work with the Georgetown Inn (http://www.GeorgetownInn.com) that was named the 2007 eMarketer of the Year. Recipients of the eMarketer of the Year award have proven their Internet expertise and have delivered the best performing integrated e-marketing program in the hospitality industry worldwide. 

The Adrian Awards, one of the most prestigious marketing competitions in the industry, recognizes the top hospitality and travel Web sites internationally based on overall design, functionality and statistical performance objectives, such as ROI and conversion rates.  This year’s competition attracted more than 1,300 entries globally and was judged by a team of over 200 experts representing all areas of the hospitality industry.

The 2007 eMarketer of the year award was given to the Georgetown Inn, a LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels property and one of TIG Global’s 800 interactive marketing clients. TIG Global worked with LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels to design the Georgetown Inn Web site to engage visitors through interaction and propel them to conversion.  The Georgetown Inn’s accompanying online marketing campaign deployed by TIG Global leverages the hotels’ central location in the popular Georgetown district of Washington, D.C., along with the activities and culture that surround the historic area.  A comprehensive search engine marketing and online advertising program currently delivers over 44,000 unique monthly visitors to the site and has increased direct online bookings by 60 percent. TIG Global clients accounted for two of the four finalists for the eMarketer of the Year award, the other finalist was the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin.

TIG Global’s design of the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin Web site, another LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels property, was honored with a Platinum Adrian Award, the highest level of recognition in the competition (http://www.EsplanadeBerlin.com).  The Platinum Adrian Award acknowledges the most innovative and cutting-edge sales and marketing campaign within the travel industry.  TIG Global designed the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin Web site to mirror the look and feel of the property’s interior and effortlessly communicate the hotel’s luxurious atmosphere and attention to detail. TIG Global recognized the hotel’s central location to be a unique selling point among its comp set and integrated an interactive map into the site to illustrate the property’s proximity to Berlin’s top attractions.  The Web site targets English and German speaking audiences and features a toggle button that offers content in both languages. TIG Global’s aggressive e-marketing strategies drive an average of 13,000 unique visitors to the Web site each month with each visitor spending an average of six minutes on the site.

TIG Global also received a Gold Adrian Award for the original design of the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn Web site (http://www.NickHotel.com). Before beginning design work on the Web site, TIG Global’s creative team stayed at the hotel to garner a first-hand experience of the unique Nickelodeon themed resort and amenities. The resulting Web site truly encapsulates the entertaining and youthful nature of a visit to the Nickelodeon Hotel and is supported by an online marketing campaign consisting of promotional banner ads and landing pages that have attracted nearly 300,000 international visitors to the site each month.
