Sofitel London Heathrow, set to be the largest conference and events hotel at Heathrow and one of the biggest in the UK, is set to revolutionise the handling of its conference and events bookings with the introduction of Delphi® from Newmarket International.

The £180million, 605-bedroom hotel with direct access to Terminal 5 will boast 41 event, meeting and boardrooms ranging in size from small informal meetings to a maximum capacity of 1700 – making the venue an ideal proposition for all international meeting planners.

“We want to offer meeting and event planners the best possible service and so we have commissioned the most advanced tools and systems that technology can offer us,” explained Sunny Roda, IT director for Sofitel London Heathrow. “One of our key requirements was that our customers should find it very easy to access meaningful and accurate information from us about our MICE facilities - Newmarket certainly fits the bill.”

Prospective customers will benefit from the MeetingBrokerSM RFP toolkit solution which will operate from Sofitel London Heathrow’s own website allowing customers to enquire and send electronic RFPs directly to the hotel.  Also available will be Delphi Diagrams™, a powerful room diagramming application, which presents meeting and event space to clients in a more visual manner, offering an in-depth look and feel of the property.

Sofitel London Heathrow will install several different components of the Delphi Sales Advantage all designed to help them better manage its group business as well as marketing and selling to prospects.  “Newmarket’s technology will help us gain a competitive advantage when we are bidding for new business,” explained Sunny Roda.  “I predict that Delphi will quickly show positive results for our customers and for our business.”

“We are pleased that Sofitel London Heathrow has recognised our unrivalled expertise in the hospitality market and chosen to invest in Delphi,” said Dan Hiza, vice president, business development at Newmarket International, Inc.  “This is one of the most significant MICE facilities to open before the 2012 Olympics and we are committed to supporting the Sofitel team in creating successful relationships with their clients.”
