Capton announced that it has added InterContinental The Barclay New York to the growing list of prestigious properties using its signature Beverage Tracker solution.

The recently rejuvenated Barclay Grill provided the perfect initial venue for Capton’s Beverage Tracker to prove its value to the hotel’s overall food and beverage operation.

“We are finding great things about the system all the time, with a greater and greater appreciation of its functionality,” said Bill Fisher, director of food and beverage. “We continue to discover what a powerful tool it is. From an accountability standpoint it speaks volumes about our determination to keep steady controls on our liquor inventory and pour costs and to maintain the highest level of guest experience consistency in our drink recipes.”

When asked if he would recommend the solution to others he said, “Absolutely. There is no reason for an operation not to spend the money. The initial outlay is minimal compared to the return on investment. We have met or exceeded our revenue forecasts every month since installing the system. Last month we exceeded our revenue forecast compared to the same time last year by $10k. Our management company is happy with it; our guests are happy with it; our servers are happy with it; our bartenders look at it as a positive challenge, and so we are very pleased overall.”

Capton’s CEO, Scott Martiny said, “We are all about ensuring that our customers see a sustainable return on investment and providing the highest levels of service and support. The scalability of our solution and the ability to help provide a better guest experience is why our company is rapidly capturing the marketplace.”

Fisher said, “Owners need to understand what they are pouring routinely beyond mere empty bottles at the end of the night. Empty bottles don’t tell you how much was poured or if it was rung up. With this system you can clearly track consumption and trends. My managers can prepare reports quickly and easily, print them out and have them on my desk in the morning for me to look at; or I can look at them from any place via a Web browser. Beverage Tracker is an extremely useful and valuable tool.”
