The Rainmaker Group, a world leader in automated revenue management software and services to the gaming hospitality and multifamily housing industries for total property profitability, announced the 494-room Hollywood Casino in Tunica, Miss. successfully installed the revolution Product Suite to optimize rates, occupancy and profitability and create greater operating efficiency.

“The Rainmaker revolution Product Suite enables Hollywood Casino Tunica to optimize total customer profitability based on demand forecasting and competitive factors and helps us fill the hotel with our most profitable customers,” said Rodney Devine, director of hotel operations.  “The system also trims 40 to 50 man hours a week off our previously manual processes for setting rates, coordinating reservations and creating marketing strategy.”  Devine said the revolution system is fully interfaced to the hotel’s Agilysys PMS which allows the casino’s player hosts to book reservations with optimized rates directly from call-in inquiries to capture more bookings and increase occupancy.

Tammy Farley, principal of The Rainmaker Group, said, “The Hollywood Casino Tunica is a perfect example of how casino hotel companies are relying on Rainmaker’s advanced revenue management software to maximize profitability for their entire operation.”

Rainmaker has 10 years of profit optimization experience with top gaming hotel operators like Hollywood Casino.  “The property’s team has leveraged revolution’s reporting tools very effectively to run a highly efficient, profit-focused operation; they are a skilled group of professionals that knows their business,” Farley said.

The Rainmaker Group’s clients include:

  • Trump Entertainment
  • Kerzner International
  • MGM MIRAGE
  • Boyd Gaming and others
“The revolution profit optimization system communicates with the Hollywood Casino’s player system to factor its information into room pricing recommendations so rates are optimized for each player’s estimated value,” said Devine.  “This, and the system’s solid data for forecasts and comp-set comparisons, enables us to optimize rates and occupancy so our most valuable players always have a room; this is a principal reason for our hotel’s operation.”
