QSR Automations®, a leading technology provider helping businesses worldwide maximize guest delight through comprehensive hospitality automation, announced a strategic distributor for the United Kingdom, Call-Systems Technology Ltd. (CST).

Headquartered in London and with a growing base of more than 10,000 users, CST is recognized as the leading provider of pagers and on-site communications products in the European marketplace for the restaurant and hotel industry.  CST will provide local sales and support – including professional services, implementation, help desk and hardware repairs – for QSR’s entire portfolio of connected solutions to both end users and authorized QSR resellers.

“With the addition of CST, we have greatly increased our local presence to help restaurant operators large and small in the U.K. reap the same great benefits from QSR’s solutions that thousands of operators have been gaining for over a decade,” said Lee Leet, president and chief executive officer for QSR Automations.  “Given their experience and proven successes with so many respected hospitality brands in the U.K., CST was the natural choice to be QSR’s strategic distributor.”

Starting more than a decade ago, QSR first revolutionized kitchen automation with its ePic® Kitchen Management Solution, including the ePic Kitchen Display Software (ePic KDS) and ePic video controllers.  In addition to ongoing enhancements to the ePic solution over the years, in 2003 QSR launched its ConnectSmart® Hospitality Automation Solution, first introducing the ConnectSmart Kitchen (CSK) graphical software and eXpert® hospitality controller.  Like QSR’s ePic solution, the ConnectSmart solution is successfully interfaced and installed with the leading point-of-sale systems in thousands of locations.

In addition to sophisticated feature sets from the CSK designed specifically to maximize food quality and efficiencies in table service kitchens, QSR’s comprehensive ConnectSmart solution also includes a full suite of table management software.  Using QSR’s complete ConnectSmart table management solution, operators can gain full control when caring for all guests – walk ins, call aheads, online call aheads, reservations and online reservations guests.  Truly unique, QSR’s table management software takes full advantage of integration to the kitchen.  QSR offers a table management solution that gains intelligence from a real-time link to sales data as well as critical production information.

“Used separately or together, QSR’s kitchen automation and table management solutions link restaurant operators to the highest efficiencies and customer satisfaction,” said Ashley Sheppard, director for CST.  “We are thrilled to extend our award-winning support to bring QSR’s powerful solutions to restaurants here in the U.K. and into the EMEA region.”

Marking CST’s 14th consecutive year displaying at this event, CST and QSR will launch the partnership by exhibiting together at The Restaurant Show 2008, held October 6-8 at Earl’s Court, London.  The exhibit will feature demonstrations of QSR’s highly reliable kitchen hardware options along with the CSK for fully automating the kitchen.  Also on display within QSR’s connected solution sets will be ConnectSmart Hostess for seating and wait list management, ConnectSmart WebAhead for enabling guests to enter the wait list via the Web, ConnectSmart Reservations, ConnectSmart WebReserve for online reservations and ConnectSmart GuestView for communicating key information such as the wait list via highly graphical displays to guests within the restaurant.

“We are excited to demonstrate QSR’s comprehensive, connected solutions with CST to The Restaurant Show attendees,” added Leet.  “Restaurant operators of all sizes and concepts in the U.K. can now put any or all of QSR’s products to work for them – with the peace of mind that their customized QSR solution is surrounded by high quality local support from CST.”

Aimed exclusively at the U.K.’s restaurant industry, 2008 marks The Restaurant Show’s 20th anniversary and will feature over 350 suppliers of technology, food, wine, spirits, interiors, tableware, champagne, soft drinks, business advice and design.  For more information about the show, visit www.therestaurantshow.co.uk.
