Hotels Turn to Utell’s® GREATRATE to Deliver Business

Utell Hotels & Resorts members participating in Utell’s most recent GREATRATE campaign realized a year-on-year revenue increase of 6.4 percent in October, and 6.3 percent in November.

Additionally, the campaign increased online reservations for participating properties by 7.6 percent in October and 10.8 percent in November.

Utell’s popular and successful GREATRATE program includes hotels in various destinations worldwide, with room rates at up to 10 percent off BAR (best available rate). Prices are offered per night as part of a two-night minimum stay for single or double occupancy and include breakfast, making them an appealing product for agents who can earn 8 percent to 10 percent commissions on each booking.

The most recent campaign succeeded not only due to the positive reputation of past GREATRATE promotions from Utell, but also due to an intense level of marketing across Utell’s channels. This push helped participating hotels reach more than 600,000 travel agents worldwide.

The next GREATRATE campaign is scheduled to run from January 5, 2009 for seven weeks. GREATRATE is designed to offer agents year-round access to inspiring and affordable deals for their customers in over 2,000 hotels in the world’s most popular destinations.
