Panasonic Corporation of North America and AEG have entered into a long-term agreement naming Panasonic as a founding partner of L.A. Live, the AEG owned and operated sports, entertainment and residential district in Los Angeles, and a founding partner of STAPLES Center beginning in August, 2009.

Technologies at these Panasonic-powered properties will improve entertainment, education, safety, convenience and the environment.

"This unique partnership will stimulate business and bolster consumer confidence," said J.M. Allain, president of Panasonic's System Solutions Company business unit. "We have committed to a comprehensive investment in resources and technology-driven solutions that transcend traditional expectations."

"Panasonic's solution fulfills our commitment to a world-class live entertainment experience," said Timothy J. Leiweke, president and chief executive officer of AEG. "Panasonic delivers the best experience for our visitors with the broadest range of new technologies available from a single entity."

The Panasonic experience is already in place at the Beijing Olympic Games, Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, New York City's Times Square, Princess Cruises and the recently announced Major League Soccer sports and community development project in Philadelphia.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Panasonic is showing full 1080p high-definition 3D home theater system technologies delivering separate views to each eye for a 3D effect. Planned solutions for AEG properties include the largest LED display in the world at L.A. Live, digital signage, video surveillance, security systems, television production and point-of-sale systems.
