The University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Resort Community Environmental Behavior Survey is underway and survey administrators are hoping to get plenty of feedback from people who live in the area as well as those who vacation there.

The intention of the survey is to explore environmental behaviors of individuals while at home and on vacation. The survey takes approximately ten minutes to complete online and is being sponsored by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. Among questions on the survey are those regarding habits and opinions on recycling as well as questions pertaining to purchasing habits or desire to purchase organic foods. The survey should last approximately six months.

The survey can be accessed at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=qGkLfPX7th5pr_2b2o1IIXxg_3d_3d

In addition, the survey can be found at the Lowcountry and Resort Islands Tourism Institute Web site at www.lriti.com. The mission of the LRITI is to investigate, examine and interpret tourism information that will support the tourism directives for Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton Counties.
