Acentic, a leading supplier of digital interactive TV (iTV) systems for the hotel industry, announced that InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has selected the company as one of its preferred providers for hotels across the United Kingdom and Europe.

In addition to its entire range of iTV platforms, Acentic will provide media and revenue management consultancy services to ensure that IHG hotels receive the best possible ROI while satisfying guests.

As one of the world's largest hotel groups by number of rooms, IHG's global brands include more than 620,000 guest rooms at 4,150 hotels, including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Express by Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites. Acentic already provides entertainment services to more than 15,000 IHG hotel rooms across Europe.

IHG selected Acentic for its ability to meet the hotel group's functionality requirements and brand standards. Hotel owners can look to Acentic as a trusted partner that fully caters to the needs of the IHG brand, the hotels and their owners, as well as the guest. This includes a user interface which can be customized to reflect the IHG brand, regular work on guest behavior, technology evolution and outstanding entertainment content.

"By choosing Acentic, IHG has selected a supplier with a range of solutions that meet the needs of all its brands," said Alistair Forbes, CEO of Acentic "From InterContinental hotels to Express by Holiday Inn, Acentic's solutions portfolio provides a platform to meet the expectations of hotels and guests. Acentic is particularly proud of this recognition as it clearly shows that in-room interactive TV is not only an entertainment service, but is also a key marketing tool that could be utilized by IHG."

"Acentic is one of a small number of key partners for IHG's in-room experience, providing a product range that suits all of our different brands, as well as the flexibility and scalability to change along with the evolving entertainment and information expectations of our guests," said Annie Brown, vice president global corporate procurement, IHG.

In addition to the entertainment and marketing benefits, Acentic's strong distributor network ensures delivery of a product defined and approved by IHG centrally to IHG hotels outside of the European Union.
