SynXis, the Sabre Holdings business that provides hotel distribution and Internet marketing services globally, and Condé Nast Johansens, one of the world’s most trusted and comprehensive luxury hotel guides, announced that SynXis will officially become Condé Nast Johansens’ preferred technology partner of choice.

SynXis has created a customized version of its Guest Connect booking engine that may be used by hotels recommended by Condé Nast Johansens to increase bookings on their own Web sites as well as via Condé Nast Johansens’ Web site.

Condé Nast Johansens recommends more than 1,300 top luxury properties in more than 65 countries that are personally visited and inspected annually. The prestigious hotel guide was looking to offer a booking engine and distribution solution for its properties that would cater to their unique merchandising needs and could also link to the Condé Nast Johansens Web site. SynXis was chosen after an extensive research process which looked at multiple technology providers and their ability to increased customer conversions through customized solutions.

“When we looked at SynXis’ portfolio of both large as well as smaller, independent luxury properties and their team’s expertise in helping to drive bookings and merchandising opportunities, SynXis quickly became the obvious choice for our preferred vendor,” said Andrew Warren, managing director of Condé Nast Johansens. “The Guest Connect booking engine in particular had all of the features that today’s hotels need to maximize their online marketing efforts and showcase their properties. We believe there is a strong case for our properties to choose SynXis, and Guest Connect, as part of their Internet marketing solution. Condé Nast Johansens takes no commission for bookings generated.”

Launched in 2008, hoteliers using the Guest Connect booking engine have seen significant increases in conversions and booking volumes from visitors to their Web sites. SynXis created the booking engine after extensive market research and usability testing to specifically tailor Guest Connect features to the consumer. As a result, the booking engine includes many easy-to-use, consumer-tested features that enable properties to maximize merchandising to the consumer on their own Web sites, such as promotional pricing, dynamic packaging, an image gallery, flexible shopping paths, filtered searches and multiple language and currency functionality. With 25 languages supported, Guest Connect has been developed with the global hotelier in mind.

“We are thrilled to welcome Condé Nast Johansens and their prestigious collection of hotels to the SynXis community,” said David Meltzer, vice president of global sales and accounts for SynXis. “The fact that SynXis stood out so clearly among its competitors supports our commitment to optimizing distribution and marketing opportunities for the luxury segment, as well as providing a booking engine solution that’s top in its class. I am certain that SynXis’ strategy and our team will be able to provide Condé Nast Johansens’ properties with the tools they need to connect to the right guests.”
