South Carolina’s Golf Insider, an exclusive guide to Myrtle Beach golf courses, is developing a social networking component on its Web site with ZMail by ZDirect’s eCRM platform.

Using comments extracted from ZMail’s dynamic customer satisfaction engine sent upon checkout, the generation of robust reviews from customers are driving Golf Insider’s social commentary.   This has proven to be a resounding success, with thousands responding in the first quarter of 2009.

The Myrtle Beach area has over 120 quality golf courses along 40 miles of pristine beach front. Tens of thousands of golfers play each month on the Grand Strand, and The Golf Insider is quickly becoming an authority on what courses to play... all driven by ZDirect’s dynamic survey engine.   Leveraging the behavioral marketing functionality of ZDirect, robust profiles and detailed commentary, The Golf Insider has become an innovator and leading golf destination portal for the southeast United States.

Matthew Brittain, president and CEO of Myrtle Beach National said, “We are extremely satisfied with the results so far.  Travel forums and aggregators such a TripAdvisor perform a valuable service to the hospitality traveler.   We have successfully developed this model for golf, and we owe much of our success to the technology offered by ZDirect.”
Hayes Thomas, president and CEO for ZDirect, said, “We are proud to be a partner with The Golf Insider and we look forward to the opportunity to expand this business model nationally. Golfers love to talk about golf. We capture their comments, dynamically populate questions based on the actual course played, accept the rating golfers submit, and then feed those results to The Golf Insider for public display.  It’s all automated with up-to-date golfing experiences for other golfers to review and to comment upon immediately.“
