ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, Inc. Expands Sales Force to Enhance Customer Service Efforts

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, Inc., an industry leader in guestroom security for electronic locks and safes in the North American market with brands VingCard, Elsafe and TimeLox, has announced the addition of six regional sales managers and two new directors to its already seasoned sales team, including Chris Lawrence, Paul Cannon, Mary Nesmith, Bill Seibert and Paul Dinsdale.

These additions will provide broader coverage across national territories, allowing the company to continue to focus on meeting customers’ needs, enhancing relationships and providing quick responses to each request. With the acquisition of some of the industry’s leading sales and service talent, ASSA ALBOY Hospitality can now offer a greater emphasis on customer support with a full-service approach, strengthening the company’s overall presence in the market. Leading the sales team is George Winker, who brings more than 20 years of experience to his current role as vice president of sales for ASSA ABLOY Hospitality in North America.

“At a time when many companies are cutting back on their sales force, we are investing more in our people – by far our best asset – to grow and ensure customer satisfaction,” said Winker. “Rather than relying on the economy to turn around, we are hiring the best and brightest to support the company’s leadership in the hospitality security market, and we are confident this also will boost customer service.”

Dominic Locascio brings 15 years of experience to his role as the new director of key accounts. With a strong track record of building long-term, mutually beneficial business partnerships at iBAHN with over 500 hotels nationwide, Locascio will focus on supporting VingCard Elsafe’s major partners and their affiliate organizations across North America.

“Having spent the last four years working with RFID on the restaurant side of the industry, I am ready to dive back into the hotel marketplace,” said Locascio. “VingCard Elsafe was the best choice for me, based on their outstanding leadership and proven track record of customer service.”

Robert Contardi joins VingCard Elsafe as the Ontario regional manager for national accounts, hospitality groups and distributors. With more than 20 years of experience, Contardi most recently served as the Canadian sales manager for Marietta Corporation, were he worked for nine years, focusing on expanding national hotel chains, management groups and the overall distribution network. “VingCard Elsafe has given me the resources I need to continue to grow as a national sales representative,” said Contardi. “Since my start in early October, I have already learned valuable lessons that can only come with having such a strong, experienced staff behind me.” 

An industry veteran, Charles Hummitsch joins the VingCard Elsafe team where he will oversee Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico as the regional sales manager. With more than 10 years experience in the industry, Hummitsch brings considerable knowledge to the company based on his previous work with access control systems with Tesa, Onity and Salto, where he covered most of the western U.S. markets in hospitality, military, government and education.

“My vast experience in the industry helps me to continue to meet and surpass customer expectations,” Hummitsch said. “I am excited about the opportunities at VingCard Elsafe, and for the knowledge I am sure to gain from working alongside some of the industry’s leading security professionals.”

Lisa Cunningham joins the sales team from HIS, a division of MICROS, where she worked as the eastern regional director of business development for four years. Prior to HIS, she served at ADP Time and Labor Management Hospitality Vertical Marketplace as corporate sales manager. Cunningham takes over as regional sales manager for Georgia, Atlanta and Mississippi.

“Joining the VingCard Elsafe team was an easy decision for me to make,” said Cunningham. “I’ve always admired the outstanding effort and teamwork of the company and I am grateful for a chance to work with such a qualified group of people.”

Matthew Vecchio, the newest regional sales manager for the northwest region, joins the sales team from Best Access Systems, where he served as a sales representative for four years. He also previously served as a territory manager for KeyTrak for four years.

“In my short time at VingCard Elsafe, I have learned so much about teamwork, commitment and meeting the customer’s needs,” Vecchio said. “With the company behind me, I have confidence we will make great strides in the coming months despite the state of the industry.”

The new Midwest regional sales manager, Jennifer Humphrey, joins VingCard Elsafe from American of Martinsville, where she served as vice president of sales and was responsible for building and managing domestic sales for the company’s hospitality division.

“I am excited to join an established company like VingCard Elsafe, who has a strong history of building lasting relationships with customers,” Humphrey said. “By building on current relationships, I plan to strengthen the sales team in my region to continue to grow our customer database.”

With more than 13 years of experience, Robert Attard joins VingCard Elsafe as the regional sales manager for Eastern Canada. Based in Montreal, Quebec, Attard will oversee Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Quebec. Having previously exclusively represented Sysco, Guest Supply Canada, Attard brings extensive insight from working with properties throughout the province of Quebec.

“For years I have been working to build relationships with the hospitality industry in Quebec,” said Attard. “With a company like VingCard Elsafe behind me, it is more important than ever to show properties what true customer service and support is and continue to build off these established relationships.”

Greg Glessner, the new regional sales manager for Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Ohio, joins the sales team from MICROS Systems, Inc, where he worked for more than 10 years. Glessner brings vast knowledge of the industry through his expansive work at MICROS Systems, having held positions in implementation, project management, account management and executive sales across North America.

“I am excited for this new venture with VingCard Elsafe,” said Glessner. “Having worked with one company for an extended time, I am ready to start over and use what I have learned to make this sales force the strongest and most trusted team in the industry.”
