Following the close of its milestone annual conference last week, the long-standing Vacation Rental Managers’ Association (VRMA) welcomed four new directors to its board, as well as new representation by award-winning association management company, Raybourn Group International.

“The growth and prosperity of the entire vacation rental sector of the hospitality industry, along with that of the VRMA, is our highest priority,” said Alex Risser, president of the VRMA, whose annual conference attendance exceeded all expectations despite this year’s economic environment. “The VRMA extends a warm welcome to these new team members who join us in looking to the future of our industry, including heightened consumer awareness and increasing our membership services and value.”

The VRMA board of directors is now comprised of 12 industry leaders, including the following newly elected representatives:

  • Doug Brindley, Brindley Beach Vacations, Corolla, N.C.
  • Lee Hughes, CSA Travel Protection, Campbell, Calif.
  • Dan Kline, Magical Memories® Villas - Orlando, Kissimmee, Fla.
  • Tristan Webb, Utah Vacation Homes, Salt Lake City, Utah

"We also want to recognize the important contributions our previous association management company, Travel Industry Consultants (TIC), have provided to the VRMA," said Risser. "The TIC team was instrumental in helping to establish, direct and grow the association to its strong standing today."

Kyle Buehner, VRMA secretary, explained how the transition to Raybourn Group International is a natural progression for the association. "As we seek to build awareness of vacation rentals, Raybourn Group brings a unique set of skills and a proven track record for building organizations. As a member, I'm excited about what the future holds for the VRMA," said Buehner.

As part of the transition, the headquarters and contact information for the VRMA have also changed, effective immediately:

Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) 9100 Purdue Road, Suite 200 Indianapolis, IN 46268
Phone: (317) 454-8315; Fax: (317) 454-8316

The association’s main e-mail address and Web site will remain the same, available at VRMA@VRMA.com and http://www.VRMA.com, respectively.

Raybourn Group International has been advancing such organizations as the Corporate Housing Providers Association, Interior Design Educators Council and the Society for Nutrition Education since 1988.

The Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) is a professional trade association for the vacation rental property management industry. Now headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., the VRMA has more than 600 property management and associate members in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean representing approximately 150,000 vacation rentals, condos and villas. Often costing less than a single hotel room, vacation rentals afford travelers an accommodations lifestyle unlike any other, providing considerably more space, amenities, guest services, and privacy than other lodging options.
