Crescent Systems, Inc., a leader in providing comprehensive management software to a diverse hospitality market including resorts, private member clubs, public golf facilities and municipal facilities, announced the appointment of Martin J. Izzi as chief business development officer.

Izzi will report to the company’s president and CEO, E. Neal Trogdon.

Izzi has an extensive background in the technology and services industry, with intensive experience advocating, implementing and managing the successful delivery of solutions for multiple organizations. Most recently, he was chief executive officer for Northstar Technologies, a private club management software company. Prior to that, he served as U.S. regional practice director for United States-based, CH2M Hill – a global technology consultancy for private and public enterprises.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Martin to our executive leadership team,” said E. Neal Trogdon, president and chief executive officer. “Martin brings a wealth of real-world experience that will help us shape our vision and achieve greater impact with our existing and new clients in the years ahead. His arrival coincides with two significant new product launches - Crescent’s 2nd generation SQL Version 6.0 software suite for managing complex clubs, resorts and municipality-owned facilities; and our online Web booking and scheduling engine - CRES-TEE – which creates a seamless, integrated member engagement experience.”

Trogdon continued, "His strong subject-matter expertise will prove to be a valued asset as we continue to promote Crescent System’s ability to develop advanced software tools and unique customer-support programs that are based on our client's daily operating requirements and long-term, strategic objectives. Martin will work closely with our entire team to ensure that our growing suite of software products is most effective, efficient and helpful to the clients, members and guests we serve.”

Izzi will have responsibility for the direction and management of strategic planning and business development activities for U.S. and global markets - including new client acquisition in existing and new market sectors and ensuring that existing client’s benefit fully from future Crescent products and initiatives.

“As this industry moves beyond the current unstable economic climate, it is refreshing to be associated with a 15-year-old company that has always devoted - and continues to devote - so much time and attention to caring for its existing customers and truly understand their concerns – from product to pricing,” said Izzi. “Crescent’s solid reputation as a stable, customer-focused and progressive technology developer combined with its former history as owners/managers of multiple clubs, makes them unique in understanding their customers’ needs - and delivering on them.”

Crescent Systems, founded in 1996, develops fully integrated Windows-based systems, touchscreen POS and SQL architectures.
