Colorado Convention Center Awards New Contract to Smart City Networks

Smart City Networks announced that it has been awarded a new contract with the Colorado Convention Center (CCC), managed by SMG, and will continue to serve the facility as its exclusive event technology provider.

Since 2000, Smart City Networks has provided the event technology services at the Colorado Convention Center under its Priority Networks subsidiary which it acquired in 2006. 

“For almost a decade, Priority Networks and Smart City have been our partners in providing reliable Internet and data services to the hundreds of thousands visitors we welcome every year,” said John  Adams, general manager of the Colorado Convention Center.  “Their dedicated customer service and excellence in data, telecom and technical services consistently meet our clients’ event needs.”

Led locally by Debbie Olivas, general manager for technology services, Smart City Networks will continue to provide high-speed Internet access using Ethernet protocols to all exhibit spaces and meeting rooms, and turnkey data networking services including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and private networks using the latest technology.  Smart City Networks also provides an entry-level wireless service ideal for Web surfing and checking e-mail which can be accessed throughout the convention center by using a Wi-Fi-compatible network card.  The wireless network offers Internet access to service exhibitors as well as event attendees.
