Sage Hospitality Appoints Susan Lee Furbay Vice President of Acquisitions and Business

Sage Hospitality Resources announced the appointment of Susan Lee Furbay as head of acquisitions and business development for the Denver-based hotel management and development company.

“We see tremendous opportunity to work with commercial lenders this coming year as they take action on non-performing loans and seek to maximize asset value,” said Sage Hospitality President and CEO Walter Isenberg.  “Susan’s impressive work and vision shows she’s a highly respected industry leader.   Her appointment will prove strategic for Sage on building on the positive and aggressive goals we’ve set for 2010.”

The company’s current portfolio of 52 properties includes both independent and branded hotels in the luxury, upscale, select-service and extended-stay segments. 

These include major international brands Marriott, Starwood, Hilton and IHG, as well as award-winning hotels such as The Blackstone Hotel in Chicago and The Nines Hotel in Portland, Ore.  (Condé Nast Hot List).  The Sage Restaurant Group, creator and operator of concept restaurants in Sage Hotels, has received national acclaim for many of its restaurants, including Mercat a la Planxa in Chicago (Esquire Best New Restaurants of 2008) and Departure (Travel & Leisure Hottest Rooftop Bars).
