Aloft debuts the TeleAdapt MediaHub HD™ connectivity panel in each of its 408 guestrooms and suites, making it easy for visitors to play media from their portable electronics through the in-room TV, including a wireless audio interface for streaming and controlling their music from an iPod® or MP3-playing smartphone from anywhere in the room.
The Aloft Abu Dhabi entertainment center integrates the MediaHub HD connectivity panel with a 42-inch LG HDTV and KoolConnect HDVOD & Interactive System for the most technologically advanced entertainment system in the Middle East. The panel’s audio and video connection points give guests a hassle-free way to connect their digital camera, laptop, iPod or even game console to the in-room TV.
In addition to a smart plug-and-play interface, the MediaHub HD converts the LG HDTV into a wireless stereo by way of a Stereo Bluetooth pairing point for the guest. Guests can pair their iPod, iPhone®, Palm® Pre™, BlackBerry® or other popular MP3-playing smartphone to the MediaHub HD panel to begin playing music through the TV speakers without using a cable. Aloft Abu Dhabi guests can enjoy a higher quality of sound than the typical clock radio speaker, and they can control their music from anywhere in the room, even the bathroom or while relaxing in bed.
Situated near the nation’s largest exhibition center, the Aloft Abu Dhabi caters to a sophisticated business traveler as well as the modern leisure traveler. “We want every stay to be productive, comfortable, fun and memorable for our guests,” said Stephan Vanden Auweele, Aloft’s general manager. “The entertainment center is part of that experience and providing a conduit for more entertainment choices is a way to service our guests’ personal enjoyment. More entertainment choices in the room mean more satisfied visitors."
There are other connectivity panel makers in the industry; however, Aloft chose the TeleAdapt MediaHub HD as a future-proofing investment. “More and more devices are going wireless. Our hotel is above the curve with a wireless music option in our in-room entertainment,” said Vanden Auweele.
