MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, announced that Quality Dining, Inc., one of the nation's largest franchisee restaurant companies, has selected MICROS as its exclusive preferred vendor for point of sale (POS).

MICROS completed the deployment of the MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Solution (RES), along with MICROS Kitchen Display System, to all 115 Quality Dining-operated Burger King locations in less than a month and is now focusing on the deployments to Quality Dining’s 48 Chili’s restaurants, nine Papa Vino’s restaurants and one blue2O seafood grill + bar.

Quality Dining is unifying its entire enterprise with the MICROS RES point-of-sale solution in order to help operations flow more cohesively, efficiently and profitably.  With years of industry experience and a global network of offices and distributors, MICROS has the ability to provide Quality Dining with the reliable, round-the-clock service and support it requires.

MICROS RES is the perfect fit for the Quality Dining enterprise, as the fully integrated restaurant point-of-sale and kitchen display system are both powerful and flexible, allowing Quality Dining to manage complex employee environments, monitor inventory levels and streamline ordering and receiving processes.  The complete enterprise management solution provides end-to-end communications throughout Quality Dining’s business operations, increasing efficiency and speed-of-service to provide a better guest experience and ultimately enhance profitability.
“After evaluating each of the available solutions, we determined that MICROS offered the best technology, service and support,” said Steve Marquette, vice president and chief information officer, Quality Dining, Inc.  “We were also confident MICROS possessed the resources and experience to complete the installation at all of our 115 Burger King locations in the strict timeline we required.  Once notified of our decision to move forward, MICROS was able to quickly gather a team able to efficiently and successfully complete the rapid roll-out in a few short weeks.”

“We were so impressed with the amazing job that MICROS did with our Burger King conversion, we made the easy decision to deploy MICROS at all our other restaurants,” added Marquette.  “We look forward to having one vendor, one platform, one standard throughout our enterprise.”

“MICROS sincerely values the partnership we have formed with Quality Dining,” said Ed Rothenberg, vice president of restaurant sales and strategies, MICROS Systems, Inc.  “The time-sensitive Burger King installation would not have been possible without the incredible resources and effort that Quality Dining’s information technology and restaurant operations groups committed to the project.  The successful implementation of the MICROS solution was the direct result of the joint cooperation of Quality Dining and MICROS.  We are pleased to provide Quality Dining with a powerful and reliable solution for its point-of-sale needs and look forward to continuing and expanding our partnership with Quality Dining as we convert all of its other restaurant concepts.”
