Passkey announced that it has completed the deployment of Passkey’s GroupMAX™ online group reservations system as a corporate standard across all Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt hotels and resorts in United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

Ty Helms, senior vice president revenue, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said, “It became clear that our meeting planner community wanted an enterprise solution that was consistent, secure and personalized to their group booking needs. One of the primary goals was to improve the overall attendee and meeting planner experience by providing a set of integrated tools that simplify the booking process and streamline communication. Passkey management tools allow our hotels to offer group guests upgrades, customized promotions and targeted messaging about their event. These tools allow the attendees to enhance their stay experience while providing the meeting planner a communication channel that has not existed in the past.”

Through GroupMAX, any Hyatt hotel can create a customized booking Website for any event at the hotel, usually in under five minutes – establishing an impeccable level of personalized planner service. For guests, the event-specific online booking environment allows Hyatt hotels to offer multiple room options and upgrades that are not traditionally offered in the course of making a group reservation. This unique capability has proven especially popular among travelers.

Hyatt’s deployment of GroupMAX has also provided meeting planners with real-time tracking of their event through features such as SmartAlerts™ that provide automatic e-mail notifications of changing inventory conditions, and personalized event dashboards which are also iPhone-enabled. In addition, meeting planners will be able connect their preferred registration system to the event’s hotel booking Website using Passkey’s RegLink technology, providing event attendees a seamless one-stop event booking experience.

Steve Enselein, vice president of convention services, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said, “Although Passkey had been deployed at a number of our hotels for many years, this initiative occurred because GroupMAX is now a win-win-win for our hotels, our meeting planners and our guests. Hotels have a way to optimize group revenues while providing guests with a full breadth of room and amenity options. And meeting planners are provided with the industry’s leading tools to manage reservations, protect their attendees’ data, and fight attrition.”

Passkey has invested heavily in its technology over the last 18 months, introducing a number of new capabilities such as Group Campaigns, a toolset that allows Hyatt to offer highly targeted room upgrades, extended stay and amenity offers to its group guests, before, during and after each event.

Greg Pesik, Passkey’s president and CEO, said, “We built GroupMAX around an idea that being great at processing group reservations wasn’t going to be enough. GroupMAX is a revenue driver; it’s a marketing toolkit, it’s an essential knowledge base for meeting planners, and it’s the customizable storefront for our clients.”

Hyatt’s agreement with Passkey includes 120 Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt hotels the United States, Canada and Caribbean.
