IDeaS Revenue Optimization, one of the leading providers of hospitality revenue management and optimization solutions and services, today announced the renewal of its partnership with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).

IDeaS is partnering with HSMAI to further the hospitality industry by providing revenue management leadership and expertise.  Members of IDeaS' leadership team hold four chapter president or board positions within HSMAI worldwide and a seat on the advisory board of the HSMAI Revenue Management Special Interest Group. The partners are currently working to produce a whitepaper, podcast and webinar on Forecast Performance.

"This is a very exciting time for IDeaS and SAS as industry leaders and educators," said Bill Carroll, senior lecturer, Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.  "IDeaS empowers the industry with best practices and facilitates vital dialogue about the future of hospitality."

Following the HSMAI Conference, IDeaS also marked its highest attendance to date for its annual IDeaS HSMAI/HITEC Networking Event.  Industry leaders and vendor providers attending the HSMAI Conference engaged in productive discussions about the future of hospitality, approaching the commencement of HITEC with a renewed sense of optimism.

"The IDeaS event following the HSMAI Conference really sets the stage for HITEC," said Jason Love, Director of IT at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa. "We look forward to it every year."

"If IDeaS has a networking event, you can be certain I'll be there," added Rich Siegel, independent hospitality consultant and president and publisher, Hospitality Upgrade.

The high attendance of the IDeaS Networking Event, held at downtown Orlando's Cuba Libre restaurant, reflects the overall success of the HSMAI Conference, which boasted more than 300 attendees and 24 exhibitors.

Conference attendees represented 36 hotel brands and 50 hotel management companies and ownership groups. "IDeaS is proud to contribute our expertise to HSMAI, one of the most meaningful and impactful organizations for our industry," said Bernard Ellis, managing director, Americas, IDeaS.  "With HSMAI, we share the enthusiasm for educating and inspiring revenue management professionals, and together we can continue to move the industry forward."

"One of HSMAI's goals is to ensure the industry stays aware of emerging topics and trends to successfully navigate through the current landscape,"said Bob Gilbert, president and CEO, HSMAI.  "The commitment and contribution of a revenue management leader like IDeaS provides enormous value to us in our effort to educate our members and the industry as a whole."
