MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, announced that Buffalo Wings and Rings, the Cincinnati-based franchise with more than 50 locations nationwide, has selected the MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Solution (RES), MICROS Kitchen Display System (KDS), MICROS Labor Management (LM), and the mymicros.net business intelligence solution.

Buffalo Wings and Rings has implemented MICROS’s solutions since the concept began franchising, and, as one of the nation’s fastest growing chains, its use of MICROS products continually expands.

In addition to MICROS’s state-of-the-art point-of-sale product, Buffalo Wings and Rings employs the MICROS Kitchen Display system to provide highly visible, real-time information to manage and control kitchen efficiency.  MICROS KDS has proven to save Buffalo Wings and Rings labor cost, improve accuracy and reduce ticket times, resulting in a superior guest experience.  This intuitive, graphical software application displays food orders for preparation and monitors the timing of orders for speed of service, as well as provides feedback about the status of each table.  By managing food preparation, MICROS KDS has provided Buffalo Wings and Rings with a higher level of management control and customer service.  MICROS KDS is seamlessly integrated into RES to provide a complete end-to-end communication system.

“We are extremely pleased with our broad partnership with MICROS and the MICROS technology we have chosen,” said Philip Schram, executive vice president of IT and co-founder of Buffalo Wings and Rings.  “Buffalo Wings and Rings constantly looks for MICROS’s newest innovations to help us continue to expand our operations and better serve our customers.”

“We remain very committed to the relationship that we have developed with Buffalo Wings and Rings over the years and look forward to expanding our long-term alliance,” said Ed Chapel, vice president of North American distribution of MICROS Systems.
