The Georgia World Congress Center, a 3.9 million square-foot convention facility located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, partnered with PSAV® Presentation Services on September 2 for audiovisual services and event technologies.

GWCC ranks among the top five largest convention destinations in the country, as well as one of the best sports and entertainment campuses in the world.
“We’re extremely excited about the partnership with PSAV Presentation Services,” said Patrick Skaggs, assistant general manager of the Georgia World Congress Center. “PSAV offers the experience, resources and customer service that we value for our customers. Additionally, through this partnership with PSAV, our customers will have access to the most advanced event technology equipment in the industry.”
PSAV is a leading supplier of audiovisual and event technology to hotels, associations, producers and meeting planners worldwide. With offices in Atlanta, PSAV will offer everything from basic AV needs to state-of-the-art staging, lighting and high-end digital projectors. Planners can be confident all of their event technology needs can be met by PSAV. This includes eco-friendly equipment, as procurement policies mandate a priority on buying energy efficient Energy Star and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)-compliant gear whenever possible.
"The Georgia World Congress Center is known throughout the country for promoting and facilitating stellar events and activities," said Digby Davies, PSAV CEO. "It is truly an honor to partner with one of the world's finest venues for meetings, conventions and entertainment. GWCC's commitment to excellence, efficiency and quality of service mirrors that of PSAV, and we are confident that together we will deliver bright ideas backed by smart technology that produce successful meetings in an impeccable environment."
Davies said PSAV's local operations will make a positive financial impact on GWCC's customers who demand the latest in technology and resources.
"This new partnership will provide GWCC event planners with an option to consider when determining their show's total cost," Davies said. "Rather than incurring costly travel and shipping fees for an external event-technology vendor to bring in equipment, our local team can deliver the needed service and equipment at a far lesser cost. We'll work with GWCC as a seamless part of their team, and can support any outside AV companies their customers have selected through cross-rented equipment and other services."
Last month GWCC was named Venue of the Year by Georgia’s chapter of Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI). The GWCC is the nation’s fourth largest convention center and hosts more than 50 major tradeshows and 300 additional meetings and events each year.
