American Express to Honor Top Loyalty/Rewards Programs in HSMAI Adrian Awards Competition

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) is pleased to announce that American Express will be presenting a new benefactor award as part of the 54th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards that recognizes excellence in the fields of loyalty and reward programs.

The winner will be chosen from entries in the HSMAI Adrian Awards competition Loyalty Program Marketing-Consumer and Loyalty Program Marketing-Members categories, which are open for entry through September 24.

“American Express is the perfect benefactor partner to present an award that pays homage to phenomenal work in the areas of loyalty and reward marketing,” said Fran Brasseux, executive vice president of HSMAI, “There are so many strong loyalty and reward programs being implemented by top hotel companies, airlines, cruise lines and car rental companies each year that we expect to see stiff competition in this category.”

American Express is joining an HSMAI Adrian Awards benefactor awards lineup that includes the DEPARTURES Luxury Marketing Achievement Award, which goes to the best award-winning print advertising campaigns produced for the luxury travel market, and the TRAVELCLICK eMarketer of the Year, which recognizes the best integrated e-marketing program in the hotel industry. Additionally, the 2010 HSMAI Adrian Awards competition marks the inaugural year for entries being considered for the Leader in Sustainable Tourism Award presented in conjunction with National Geographic Traveler

Submitting campaigns for award consideration is easy and done entirely online.  To do so, entrants must complete an online statement of communication and submit supporting electronic creative materials. Complete entry requirements can be found at www.adrianawards.com.  

The HSMAI Adrian Awards honor creative brilliance and best practices in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing. In its 54th year, the competition has evolved into one of the world's most renowned and prestigious advertising, public relations and digital marketing competitions specifically tailored for the hospitality, travel and tourism industries.  Winning entries will be honored at the Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie event taking place Jan. 31, 2011, at the New York Marriott Marquis. Winning entries also will be showcased in the online winner’s gallery, and at the Adrian Awards Gala Reception, which is co-sponsored by Expedia Media.

The judging panel for the competition consists of more than 200 industry experts from advertising, public relations, media and digital marketing disciplines, along with leading members of the travel community.
