IDeaS Revenue Optimization, a leading provider of revenue management software, services and consulting, announced new functionality within the 5.1. release of IDeaS V5i Revenue Management System.

Both the marketing and revenue management departments are, unfortunately, siloed in many companies; in addition with disparate systems for each arm of the business, it is difficult to get a complete view of total guest spend without proper coordination. With the IDeaS V5i Campaign Management module these departments will now have the ability to share common sets of key information and provides promotion and campaign-based data on occupancy and demand-based data to your marketing team. This will ensure revenue is not diluted during peak periods by offering discounts at the wrong times; the module helps to identify the right offers for the right customers that will help to generate demand during off peak periods.

IDeaS V5i Campaign Management module intelligently links IDeaS V5i with a third-party marketing solution in order to provide coordination between revenue managers and marketers by virtue of a single synchronized view.   “As our economic situation continues to improve, hotels are expressing an increasing need for better, more informed decisions than ever,” said Linda Hatfield, vice president of product management, IDeaS.  “The new functionality of the V5i 5.1. streamlines communication within different hotel departments, enhancing the experience for all users and ultimately, increasing the overall revenue management value for the organization.”

For attendees of the 2010 Travel Distribution Summit, they can learn more about the benefits of campaign management at the IDeaS session, Behavioral Economics: Integrating RM with CRM & Marketing Initiatives to Maximize Your Revenue Margins or speak with an IDeaS representative at stand No. 12.

Enhanced calculation and reporting of the Transient Benefits Report, outlines specific differences between group and transient business.  The enhancement provides more insight into data volatility and displays transient benefits by day to allow for more precise analysis.  A new report compliments the module so that you can view, print and export campaign management data.

A recently added multiday best available rate (BAR) pace report provides further analysis of BAR pace data that can be viewed for multiple days, lengths of stay or filtered by rate plan.  In addition, a forecast comparison report is enhanced with an option to recognize forecast trends for a user-defined date range and analysis period.

The IDeaS V5i 5.1. now supports the Chinese language, allowing IDeaS clients within the Chinese market an enhanced ability to manage the system with increased efficiency.  In addition, users in this market will be less likely to make costly mistakes, leading to better maintenance of hotel business practices.
