BirchStreet Systems, Inc., a leading provider of e-procurement and automation solutions to the hospitality industry, announced the latest edition of its inventory control application.

Designed specifically to address the needs of both food service and storeroom management, the newly enhanced software incorporates a wide range of user friendly features to assist users in leveraging this powerful application quickly without the overhead of complex procedures.

"Over the years we have found that usability is an important factor in the overall customer experience and satisfaction," said Doug Sanborn, president of BirchStreet Systems. "Our approach in offering Web-based, fully hosted solutions has been widely embraced and applauded as a method for offering high functionality and ease of use. We are now taking this to the next level with an initiative we call FIT, Fast Implementation Tools. The FIT initiative provides additional advantages to help customers bring our applications online faster and with fewer resources. Our new inventory control application is certain to set the bar and redefine the benchmark for the implementation process."

The newest edition of the BirchStreet Inventory Control application includes a number of enhancements. With the inclusion of FIT, users will have access to many powerful, easy-to-use features that simplify and automate implementations, such as the ability to read data from legacy systems and convert it into the new inventory control application. The FIT initiative will also be integrated into future versions of other BirchStreet applications, including e-procurement, recipe management, accounts payable automation and capital projects.

BirchStreet's Inventory Control application automates purchases and provides precision reporting. Existing capabilities include on-hand quantity tracking, unlimited inventory locations, multiple valuation methods, requisitions, fulfillment (issue) to outlets, automated PO generation and more, which are now bolstered by specific support for retail operations, expanded requisition and fulfillment capabilities, support for more barcode scanners and a more powerful, intuitive user interface. BirchStreet also offers interfaces with a number of popular accounting systems and POS systems.
