MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, announced that Casino Enterprise Management (CEM) has declared MICROS the winner for the category of employee productivity and efficiency in the inaugural Hospitality Operability Technology (HOT) Awards. 

MICROS has reached an innovative breakthrough in the hospitality industry by providing a comprehensive solution for casino operations that includes powerful business intelligence tools including casino point-of-sale systems and hotel property management systems.  MICROS’s comprehensive gaming solution was selected as the winner for the employee productivity and efficiency category by an expert panel of judges that included Peter Arceo, principal, Strategic Gaming Advisors; Katrina Lane, senior vice president and CTO, Harrah’s Entertainment; Bart A. Lewin president and founder, Datalytica Inc.; and Claudia Winkler, president, G.H.I. Solutions Inc.
