Control4, a leader in affordable IP-based home control system, has signed 45 Park Lane to its customer roster, providing guests with the ultimate experience of luxury and comfort.

Luxury hotel brand, Dorchester Collection, is set to open 45 Park Lane, in the heart of London’s Mayfair in Summer 2011.

45 Park Lane will use Control4® Suite Systems’ automation technology, a complete door-to-drapes operating system and platform for the modern hotel room that allows guests to easily control lighting, room temperature, TVs, music, drapes and concierge services with a single remote.

45 Park Lane will be the ninth hotel in Dorchester Collection’s portfolio of iconic hotels, and will be more contemporary in style with world-renowned architect and designer, Thierry Despont, creating a luxurious modern interior with an intimate club-like feel. The exterior will be equally stylish with a revamped facade incorporating specialist eco-friendly ‘fins’ made from aluminium to utilize solar power within the hotel’s heating and cooling processes.

“Leading hoteliers today, like Dorchester Collection, realize that guests are looking for more than your average night’s stay, and want a truly memorable and unique experience from their visit,” said Will West, chief executive officer of Control4. “That’s why it makes good business sense for hotels such as 45 Park Lane to incorporate complete entertainment system automation, temperature and lighting controls within the guest experience. We’re happy to add Dorchester Collection to our client roster.”

“When we chose to use the help of Control4 in 45 Park Lane, we envisioned developing a personalized automation experience for each guest,” said Mark Campbell, chief information officer “When guests open the door to their rooms, the room has a welcoming feel. The lights will gradually come on and the drapes will open to spectacular views of Hyde Park. Using simple touch screen devices, guests can control lighting levels, room temperature, music, wake-up calls and more.”
