The upcoming European Hospitality Technology Education Conference (EHTEC) will offer revealing information from cutting-edge research with its session, "What's on Hospitality CIO's Agendas in 2007."

Peter O'Connor, Ph.D., academic director - IMHI at the ESSEC Business School will highlight information from his January 2007 interviews with head technology experts from Europe's major hotel companies. Session attendees will hear exactly what European hospitality technology professionals are concerned with in 2007 and their resolution priorities.

"Today most industry research on hospitality technology has focused solely on what's happening in the U.S. market," said O'Connor. "It's time to take a closer look at the needs and priorities of companies operating on an international level."

"The responses from these top professionals will be of great value to delegates," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP CEO and executive vice president. "Session attendees will learn the most current technology plans of the top European hotels, and they will gain an understanding of the industry's prevailing trends."

EHTEC, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) will be held February 19-20 at the Hilton Amsterdam in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It will be an intimate gathering of the EU's top hospitality professionals, including delegates representing hotel companies, independent hotel properties, casinos, resorts and other hospitality-related businesses to discuss the challenges facing hospitality technology in Europe and the industry as a whole.

The program topics are both European- and general industry-focused, and will include:
  • Telecoms Within EMEA
  • Generating Revenue On In-Room Technology
  • The Impact of European Legislation on Hospitality IT and Luxury Technology on Economy Budget

HFTP, established in 1952, is also the producer of the annual Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), the world's oldest hospitality technology show. The association annually produces the Club and Hotel Controllers Conferences and the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow.
