Aimbridge Hospitality Announces Three New Staff Members

Aimbridge Hospitality, hotel and real estate management company based in Dallas, announced three additions to the company’s staff.

David L. Capps is the vice president of development, David S. Ruger is the manager of development and Gretta Brooks is the regional vice president of sales and marketing.

Prior to joining Aimbridge, Capps was the assistant vice president for Bailey Routzong Capital Advisors, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm located in Houston, Texas. Capps was previously assistant vice president for Merrill Lynch Capital’s Hotel Group, as well as assistant vice president and finance manager for Merrill Lynch’s Global Banking Group. Capps graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

In his new position as vice president of development for Aimbridge, Capps is responsible for evaluating and identifying potential investment opportunities through engaging with brokers and industry contacts; leading the due diligence process through a variety of comprehensive financial and market analyses; and performing macroeconomic, regional and local, real estate-specific research to evaluate and assess investment prospects.

Ruger began his hospitality career at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, Mass., as an accounting/engineering intern while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality administration at Boston University. He was most recently the associate financial analyst for Capital Hotel Management, a hotel asset management and investment advisory company for public and private sector clients. Previous positions also include consulting and valuation analyst for Hospitality Valuation Services (HVS) in San Francisco and junior consultant for Group M Restaurant Consulting in Boston.

As the new manager of development, Ruger is spearheading the underwriting process and performing due diligence audits on new/potential transactions. His responsibilities include, evaluating new investment and management opportunities, analyzing hotel/non-hotel specific data, financial modeling, market research and other real-estate specific investment analysis.

“Both Dave Capps and Dave Ruger have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, and we are thrilled to add two more motivated professionals to our development team here at Aimbridge,” said Dave Johnson, president and CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality.

In her most recent position as the senior director of global sales for Wyndham Hotel Group, Brooks was responsible for generating more than $28 million in group revenue through leadership and execution of strategic sales projects. She has also served as the director of sales and marketing for the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center and the managing director of sales for Hilton Direct USA. Brooks has more than 23 years of experience in the hotel industry.

As Aimbridge Hospitality’s regional vice president of sales and marketing, Brooks is responsible for managing the revenue for the properties she oversees, developing strategic marketing plans, executing sales initiatives and communicating with ownership, brand management, vendors and internal departments to coordinate overall sales and marketing efforts.

“Gretta Brooks has been a pillar in the sales and marketing community in Texas for years, and we are very pleased to welcome her to our team.” said Johnson.
