Renowned Charlotte, N.C. restaurateur John Duncan selects Profit Series Point of Sale from Hospitality Solutions International for Four Locations

Hospitality Solutions International (HSI), a division of MICROS Systems, Inc. and a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, announced the completion of the fourth Profit Series Point of Sale (POS) installation at Las Ramblas in Charlotte, N.C.

The HSI Profit Series POS is also installed in three additional locations across Charlotte owned by John Duncan (J.D.) including Mac’s Speed Shop, Ratcliffe on the Green and Bonterra Dining and Wine Room.

Each of J.D.’s restaurants are unique in both physical location and theme.  The concepts range from elegant fine dining at Bonterra Dining and Wine Room in Charlotte’s historic Southend District, to Mac’s Speed Shop, which caters to a casual crowd and is uniquely located in a former Charlotte transmission shop and car wash.  Ratcliffe on the Green, another fine dining concept, is located in a flower shop that was once Ratcliffe Florist, and J.D.’s newest concept, Las Ramblas, meaning “gathering place”, is a Spanish tapas bar. 

Profit Series POS was implemented at each of the four locations to provide consistency across the enterprise.  Using standard Profit Series reports provides uniform data that is easily assembled by accounting personnel.  The employees can also move between locations and require no additional training on how to use the POS system.  Although the menus are different in each location, the database setup is consistent with menu items and cascading menus in the same locations, making it an easy transition for servers and restaurant managers.
