The Rainmaker Group announced today that it has appointed two senior executives with the leadership expertise to help the company’s founders guide Rainmaker toward the best opportunities during its continued period of extraordinary growth.

Rainmaker is a leading provider of automated revenue management software and services to the gaming/hospitality and multifamily housing industries.

Jack Alexander has joined Rainmaker as vice chairman to oversee strategic markets, partners and products. Andrew Rains joined to serve as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Both of these seasoned professionals worked with Rainmaker in an advisory capacity prior to their recent appointments. According to Rainmaker’s founders and principals, Bruce Barfield and Tammy Farley, these appointments are intended to further strengthen Rainmaker’s executive team and enhance the execution capabilities of the company’s current growth and future growth initiatives.

“Jack and Andrew are the most capable professionals in their areas of expertise,” said Bruce Barfield, principal and president of Rainmaker. “Asking them to formally join our team allows us to fully leverage their expertise at a time when we are experiencing exceptional growth. We’ve more than doubled the number of our multifamily housing clients in 2010 and so far in  2011, we’ve added more than a dozen new clients from both the multifamily and casino gaming industries.”  Barfield said the company also grew staff in 2010 to support the significant expansion of its client base and moved into new larger offices to allow for future growth. “We are fortunate to now have Jack and Andrew full time and we look forward to benefiting from these two appointments as we continue to evolve our business and explore new opportunities,” concluded Barfield.
Jack Alexander previously served as CEO of NextLevel Strategies, which provides private equity and strategic consulting to businesses. He was co-founder and CEO for 15 years of BCD Travel, one of the top travel management firms in the world. He also co-founded TRX, a transaction processing company, and was its Chairman for 12 years. In 1999, Jack was awarded Ernst & Young's National Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Principle Centered Leadership. Business Travel News selected Alexander six times as one of the top 25 most influential executives in the travel and hospitality industries. “I have seen, through my partnering as a consultant with Rainmaker, the positive difference this company’s revenue optimization solutions bring to customers’ bottom lines,” said Alexander. “I look forward to helping support Rainmaker’s own further expansion as our industries continue their economic recovery.”

Andrew Rains brings to his new post at Rainmaker more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in sales, marketing, customer relations, and product direction for service-based companies. These include software industry leaders Inuit and Oracle/PeopleSoft/JDEdwards. Rains was selected by Realcomm as one of the “Top 35 People to Watch” in 2007 and 2008 based on his thought leadership and commitment to apply innovative technology to drive positive change. “Rainmaker’s attention to quality, innovation, and especially customer needs means that my sales and marketing duties must continue to generate positive experiences for the company’s new and existing clients. When customers experience the difference in our revenue optimization solutions, the results speak for themselves. I’m thrilled to join a company with amazing products and a team of outstanding individuals to support them.”
