Tim Unwin joins RateGain as Executive Vice President, Hospitality Solutions

RateGain, a leading travel technology provider of competitive price intelligence, channel management, reputation management & social media marketing solutions, announces the appointment of renowned hotel industry veteran Tim Unwin as executive vice president, hospitality solutions.

Besides spearheading new business development for the company in the European region, Tim will also be responsible to forge strategic partnerships with other solution providers in the hospitality technology space for the company. He will report to David Chestler, president - hospitality services.

On Tim’s appointment, David said, “My association with Tim goes back to our stint with Pegasus Solutions where we closely worked together and achieved several significant milestones. His in-depth experience in the hospitality technology vertical, strategic approach and impeccable execution style has always impressed me. Prior to joining RateGain, Tim served as senior vice president, product management for Pegasus Solutions and was responsible for product strategy and planning across all Pegasus services including central reservation systems, distribution, hotel representation, web services, commission processing and business intelligence.

Earlier in his Pegasus career, which spanned 14 years, he held positions in sales, account management and service support and was responsible for establishing the European-based support and account management function for Anasazi which was acquired by Pegasus in 2001.

Prior to Anasazi, Tim worked in technical support and software engineering roles with Forte Hotels, Jaguar Cars and the UK Department of Transport.

Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wales. Tim will be based in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
