Southern Arizona’s Sol Casinos Plans to Implement NEC Unified Communications in New Resort and Conference Center

NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leading provider and integrator of advanced network, communication and IT solutions, today announced that Sol Casinos’ Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa and Conference Center will be deploying NEC’s UC for Enterprise, UNIVERGE SV8500 and UNIVERGE UM4730 unified communications solutions.

 Casino Del Sol, operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Tucson, Ariz., will be expanding its use of NEC’s communications solutions to help it improve collaboration among employees and enhance guests’ experiences with the expansion of the property this fall.

We knew that when we upgraded to the new platform we’d be getting the same seamless experience with additional benefits.”

With this expansion, Sol Casinos will be adding several new amenities to the new Casino Del Sol Resort, including 65,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor conference space, Hiapsi Spa and Prime Steakhouse, all of which increased its need for connectivity across the property. NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8500 will help the resort stay connected and offers improved guest services, like scheduling reservations, which is an increasingly important part of its growing business.
