Hotelzon Realizes 26% Reservations Increase with Pegasus Solutions

London-based Hotelzon has renewed its distribution agreement with Pegasus Solutions for four years after realizing a +26% increase in reservations for 2010 via Pegasus’ UltraDirect interface.

As one of the leading online corporate hotel booking companies, Hotelzon serves corporate clients, hotels and agency partners, offering live rate and availability information via Pegasus’ UltraDirect. With UltraDirect, Pegasus provides Hotelzon customers like Statesman Travel Limited, Chelsea Travel Management and Kaleva Travel Group direct connections to hotel central reservation systems (CRSs) around the world, providing real-time access to updated rates and inventory for tens of thousands of hotels. Pegasus manages the world’s largest single collection of electronically bookable hotels, and with its UltraDirect interface, enables Hotelzon to process more than 1.5 million room nights in 2010.

In addition to using Pegasus’ UltraDirect, Hotelzon continues to provide Pegasus’ UltraSwitch to 45 independent Scandinavian hotels, thus enabling their distribution via the mostly corporate GDS (global distribution systems) and predominantly leisure ADS (alternative distribution systems).  “We are delighted with the way our relationship has progressed with Hotelzon and contributed to their continuous growth in the European market,” said Mike Kistner, CEO of Pegasus Solutions.  “This contract renewal is testament to Pegasus’s commitment to helping grow the business of our customers and adapting to the evolving needs of the travel industry."
