Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, announced that Sol Casinos in Tucson, Ariz., has selected the Stratton Warren System inventory and procurement solution to streamline operations at Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun.

The new Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa and Conference Center, which is scheduled to open in November, will also use the system.
"With the opening of the new Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa and Conference Center, it was imperative that we implement a powerful inventory and procurement system that can handle both hotel and casino operations," said Karen Rousch, purchasing manager at Sol Casinos. "We believe we have found the right fit with the Stratton Warren System from Agilysys. Its breadth of features and functionality will help ensure that all of our enterprises operate more efficiently and that we conserve resources across the board."
The Stratton Warren System (SWS) inventory and procurement solution is a full-featured software system that maximizes purchasing power and reduces operational costs. Recognized as a leading inventory and procurement system in the hospitality industry, it automates the entire procurement process — from food and beverage to general property materials — and provides a fast and measurable return on investment by identifying the most suitable suppliers, reducing labor costs and waste and helping eliminate time-consuming and error-prone paper documents. Features of the system include budget tracking, business intelligence functionality, automated email bid capability, multiple par level functionality and wireless mobile computer enhancements. Sol Casinos will use the SWS Barcode module to enable wireless data collection of inventory; the SWS Recipe & Menu Analysis module to refine menus and manage food and beverage costs; and the SWS Retail module to automate the entire retail process.
"Sol Casinos has wisely invested in technology that will help them maintain accurate inventory counts and gain control of overall costs," said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. "The Stratton Warren System inventory and procurement solution improves financial controls and allows buyers to focus on the strategic elements of the procurement process. As a result, they are able to make more intelligent purchasing decisions and operate more efficiently."
Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun are owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, a federally recognized tribe with more than 17,000 enrolled members. Non-gaming enterprises include the Anselmo Valencia Tori Amphitheater (AVA), a 5,000-seat open-air concert venue, and the Del Sol Marketplace, which includes a gas station, car wash, convenience store and smoke shop. The Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa & Conference Center, a 161,000-square-foot resort and entertainment destination, is scheduled to open Nov. 11 and will feature 215 rooms and more than 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and convention space.
