VTech Telecommunications Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of VTech Holdings Ltd. (HKSE: 303), announced that VTech Hospitality is the newest strategic supplier of hotel phones for Design Communications Inc. (DCI), a leading telephony provider for hotels and hospitality applications nationwide.

VTech is showcased its entire series of contemporary and classic hotel phones at HITEC, the world’s largest hospitality technology show, June 21-23 in Austin, Texas (Booth #1107).

DCI will now carry VTech’s analog and SIP corded, cordless and trimline phones for hotel guestrooms. Backed by more than 25 years of telephony expertise, VTech has built a reputation of delivering easy-to-use, design-forward and technologically advanced phones for personal communications. At last year’s HITEC show, VTech announced its first line of communication solutions customized specifically for the hospitality market.

“We recognize VTech as a strong new player in the hospitality industry, bringing worldwide brand recognition as well as financial, engineering and manufacturing strengths,” said Robert Torres, CEO of DCI. “By adding VTech to our preferred product portfolio, we can provide hoteliers with a more robust range of options to enhance the guest experience.”

VTech phones are available for both PBX-based installations, as well as DCI’s VCore remote cloud computing/hosted services. The VCore solution, also announced recently by DCI in conjunction with Mitel, is a full suite of hosted IP Communications applications for the hospitality market. The VCore suite of hosted applications is a complete communications offering including SIP Trunk Services, PBX, Guest HISA, Voice mail and Call Accounting.

“The DCI agreement is a significant step toward our aggressive goals to bring the trusted VTech brand to the hospitality market,” said Dan Seale, president of VTech Hospitality. “Like VTech, DCI has more than a quarter-century of experience in the communications industry, and they are the go-to provider for leading hotels in North America. We plan to build and grow our offerings together to best meet the needs of hoteliers as in-room communications solutions become more functional and integrated with other offerings.”

VTech’s hotel phones are scalable and can be customized for a variety of different business models, property needs and special requirements. Products in the Classic and Contemporary series include:

  • 1-line/2-line analog corded and SIP corded phones
  • 1-line/2-line analog cordless and SIP cordless phones
  • Analog corded and SIP corded lobby phones
  • Analog corded and SIP cordless TrimStyle phones
