Adaco and WineQuest have formalized a partnership that has successfully integrated optimized hospitality procurement with Adaco .NET and WineQuest’s database of more than 140,000 wines.

The announcement was made at the HITEC 2011 conference, in its second day at the Austin Convention Center.

The WineQuest database is one of the most consistent and accurate databases in the industry, minimizing duplicate and misspelled products while including relevant information such as proper international language characters. The wines are uniquely flavor profiled to reduce the guest’s intimidation factor, enable progressive wine lists, and design lists to minimize dead stock. Last year, WineQuest launched a database for beer and spirits that adheres to the same accuracy standards as the wine database.

“WineQuest is designed for food operations that value wine menu quality and strive to improve their guest experience through maintenance of fresh, dynamic wine lists,” said WineQuest’s Client Partner Jim Lawless. “This partnership is a natural since our customers consistently see increased wine sales, eliminate time-consuming data entry errors and improve the overall bottom line.”

“This partnership brings a new dimension to beverage management with Adaco .NET,” said Adaco’s business development vice president Frank Walbridge. “With WineQuest you are populating your inventory system by referencing the most accurate wine database in the world. By having such an
accurate record you will increase purchasing efficiency while those with multiple properties can see how brands are moving across all locations and leverage that knowledge in their wine buys.”

The partnership helped Ritz-Carlton gain better control of wine costs and category wine sales to drive more effective product purchasing and inventory levels. The companies have other customers in common including Starwood, Wyndham, and Marriott International.
