The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) announced the addition of Anne-Wesley Teague as the manager of governmental affairs – HotelPAC and Grassroots.

Teague will take primary responsibility for AH&LA’s political action committee, HotelPAC, as well as manage the duties of AH&LA’s grassroots program, hotelLOBBY.

“Anne-Wesley comes to us with an impressive track record,” said Marlene Colucci, executive vice president of public policy. “In addition to her years of experience working inside the beltway, she has run successful fundraising campaigns around the country. I am excited to add Anne-Wesley as a valuable member of our team as we continue to increase the visibility of our HotelPAC fundraising efforts.”

Before joining AH&LA, Teague directed donor relations at the University of Denver, where she established the Office of Donor Relations & Stewardship (DR&S). Under her leadership, annual fundraising hit an all time high at over $64 million in 2008. Prior to the University of Denver, she served as the manager of InsurPAC, the political action committee for the independent insurance agents and brokers of America, generating strong financial turnout for industry events and political fundraisers. Teague is a 2002 graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in communications.
