Embassy Suites Denver Downtown Offering Broadband Based on Customers' Need via PSAV

With 25,000 square feet of meeting space including 14 separate meeting rooms accommodating events of all sizes, the Embassy Suites Denver - Downtown Convention Center hotel doesn't worry about having too little broadband to support the needs of event delegates or guests thanks to its partnership with PSAV® Presentation Services.

Since opening in December 2010, PSAV has equipped the 403-room/suite hotel with 100 megabytes of broadband, an amount sufficient to support all events simultaneously.

PSAV is a leading supplier of audiovisual and event technology to hotels, associations, producers and meeting planners worldwide. The LEED Silver Certified Embassy Suites Denver - Downtown Convention Center, located at 1420 Stout Street, serves as a gateway to the city's rejuvenated downtown scene and sits adjacent to the Colorado Convention Center.

"We conducted an exhaustive search for a partner that could manage our property's overall bandwidth, not just offer high speed Internet access at one speed," said Robert Kisabeth, property general manager. "PSAV presented us with a program that matches output with the needs of our customers. Those who demand more, instantly receive more. PSAV gives us complete control so we don't provide more connectivity than what is needed and subsequently charge the guest for more than is being used. Even at maximum capacity, if every guest was online at the same time, PSAV gives us the supply to meet their demand."

Over the years, regardless of the property he managed, Kisabeth said customers always complained about Internet speed during peak usage times. Today, with 100 megabytes of broadband at its disposal, the Embassy Suites Denver - Downtown Convention Center has achieved high satisfaction scores across the board with no HSIA complaints. This has directly resulted in repeat business, he said.

"One of the biggest advantages to having PSAV manage both our broadband and also serve as our in-house event technology team is that they have become a big part of the selling process," Kisabeth said.
