LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET), a leading provider of media and connectivity solutions to hospitality and healthcare businesses, announced the extension of its strategic alliance with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. with the signing of a new multi-year agreement.

The agreement grants LodgeNet a preferred provider status for its offerings to Starwood hotels for Envision, LodgeNet’s latest interactive TV (iTV) platform, free-to-guest television programming, professional customization and technical services. In addition, Starwood is working on approving various new Envision applications as options across a number of its brands as apps are developed and evolve. The two companies are also looking for further expansion opportunities in the professional solutions and broadband areas.

“Starwood leads the industry in their conversion to High-Definition technology, with more than 60 percent of its LodgeNet-served room base installed with HD systems,” said Scott C. Petersen, chairman and CEO for LodgeNet. “This agreement extends our long and valued relationship with the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and ensures that their guests will continue to enjoy an enhanced technology experience in each of Starwood’s nine brands. We look forward to delivering new and more advanced solutions to their hotels.”

“LodgeNet has been a valued partner in providing perspective and advice to help guide our overall
long-term guest technology strategy,” said David Marr, senior vice president, brand management for
Starwood Hotels & Resorts North America. “We are committed to establishing our brands as technology
leaders in their respective segments, and we look forward to working with LodgeNet in that effort.”

LodgeNet was first named a Starwood preferred provider in 2002 and this new master agreement
is the latest milestone in an association dating back to LodgeNet’s first contract with Sheraton Hotels in 1991. LodgeNet currently serves 460 Starwood properties, representing more than 150,000 guest rooms or nearly 90 percent of Starwood’s total North American room base.
